Celebrating our Sisters for Black History Month
Enfield Council
The Black History Month theme for this year was ‘Celebrating our Sisters’ and the poster campaign was based on colourful women and hand-drawn African-inspired patterns.
The channel posters appeared around the borough promoting the Black History Month events which entailed poetry, film and activities for all the family.
The African-inspired pattern was hand drawn on the iPad in black and white, outlined in a vector based app and coloured. The result is a perfectly imperfect border design.
Social media templates were supplied to the client so that they could create their own posts. The templates were also given to other organisations who were promoting their events in the borough.
What the public said
There’s one [a poster] by me. I didn’t realise it was yours, although now it’s been pointed out to me, it’s definitely your style. Not sure how I didn’t click.
